I want to start a small business to provide for my children

Greetings,

My name is Maria. I am a mom to 3 beautiful children 2 girls and 1 boy. I live in Pretoria North, South Africa. I'm originally from Zimbabwe.

I'm divorced since 5 years and since then I have been staying with my children on my own.

I used to work with Missionaries (NPO) doing Child Evangelism. Since the divorce, I moved out of the Missions because it belonged to my in-laws. Because of less education, no qualifications and no work permit, I am struggling to get employment. I had started a business of buying and selling clothes and doing laundry. But due to the pandemic last year I lost capital to continue buying things.

I have been having financial problems since then and I'm unable to meet my monthly payments such as rent, school fees and also having proper meals at times.

I am thinking of trying to focus on what I am good at which is cooking.

I have always wanted a Mobile Food truck or a Popcorn bar so that I can finally stop being dependent and be able to provide for my children with the basics and necessary things.
