Safe Tangkahen Last Forest Central Kalimantan-Indonesia

My name is Rasdi Wangsa. I am the National Coordinator of the Indonesian Traditional Wisdom Network (ITWN) since 1999 until now.  Since then, our organization has jointly worked with the local community to protect their environment by their tradition.  I live in Bogor city-West Java province-Indonesia and have a responsibility from my organization to fundraising activities.  In this recent we have 1 project in Central Kalimantan Indonesia, We call " Safe the Last Forest and Kahayan River in the Land of Central Kalimantan"

The problem is some of the big development activities. like plantation, mining and others impacted to destroy the forest and land in the Kalimantan Island while its local community livelihood.  There was not too much forest and land, including animals in the ecosystem that's available.  Local people struggle to strengthen their livelihood through ecotourism initiatives in the last Forest Village.  And now, they have also impacted the Covid Pandemic. Already almost two years nothing tourist come to visit their village.  Income from the ecotourism activities zero. Their struggle and survive  with their initiative to protect their land, forest and river ecosystem without enough financial supporting. 

And therefore, by this letter, I invite you to give your donation to help the community in their transition in the Covid Pandemic.  We need the fund as soon as possible because the community needs to cover the financial setup of their organic farming.  The organic product would supply to their ecolodge to tourist consumption.  And they will set up the forest restoration in surrounding their village by agroforestry system. And also will try to build the pilot project local fish conservation in Kahayan River in their village.
