I am Vicky Olavarrieta living in Venezuela, on February 6, 2020 I gave birth to twins Liam and Victor, the first was born completely healthy, but the second Victor Andres was born with a malformation in the spine known as Spina Bifida: Myelomeningocele For which he was operated on the next day after he was born.

Due to this malformation he also developed Congenital Hydrocephalus for which he underwent surgery at 22 days old to place a valve that controls the levels of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain and thus prevent the head from growing excessively.

When I was discharged from the hospital, I had to continue in control with the neurosurgeon and depending on the condition, he referred me to other specialists such as urologist and orthopedic because children who suffer from this condition tend to suffer from urinary infections and the lower part of the body has minimal mobility and suffer from clubfoot,

But due to the pandemic the free specialized consultations were suspended and the private consultation has a cost of $ 40 and the medical office is 2 hours from where I live and the cost of transportation is $ 10 but the economic situation of the country makes That my resources are very limited and I cannot afford them and for 22 months a specialist has not reviewed it and we do not know exactly what condition it is in and if it has evolved or if the valve is working correctly, it may be necessary to change it but until it is not A specialist sees him, we do not really know his condition, he cannot sit alone or maintain his balance vertically, therefore he is lying down mostly since I have not been able to buy him a car because they are unbeatable nor would the salary of a whole year be enough to buy it too requires an anti-eschar mattress because small ulcers form on his back because much of the time he remains lying down, that is why I turn to you to Help this angel to receive the necessary care as soon as possible and acquire the necessary utensils for his well-being and be happy and not lose his beautiful smile.
