Who is the Endowment Fund?

The Endowment Fund of the Engineering Center of the Federal University of Pelotas is a non-profit organization created by former students who believe that they should somehow repay the quality education they had.

The project was created following the successful American models, such as the Harvard, Yale and Stanford Funds. All financial resources raised are invested, and only the income is used to finance research projects and scholarships.

Where will this resource be invested?

- Scholarships for needy students;

- High impact research projects;

- Purchase of computers and laboratory materials;

- Scholarship for monitoring projects;

- Support for the publication of scientific articles.

The Federal University of Pelotas is among the 40 best universities in Latin America, according to the British international ranking Times Higher Education (THE).

The Engineering Center (COTADA) has nearly 2,000 undergraduate students and more than 100 professors.

University students stand out for their commitment and ability to generate technology. The University is the 9th institution in Brazil that deposits the most patents in the country. Its students are also annually recognized with national and international awards.

Highlight Partnerships

The Heritage Fund made two major partnerships in 2021. The first partnership was with the renowned English Language School TopWay. The second important partnership was with one of the best business schools in Brazil, Saint Paul.
