It is with great humility that I come to you in hopes that whoever is able can extend help during this difficult time for people in our hometown.
As you may be aware, the Philippines was recently hit by a strong typhoon and it is unfortunate that our town in Surigao City and Esperanza San Ricardo was one of the places greatly hit by the storm. The aftermath of the typhoon is very disheartening, to say the least.
I’ve attached here some photos of what was left of our town. Up until writing this email, the communication lines have not yet been restored and I have very little to no news on how my family, including my parents and son, are doing at the moment. But I know that everyone in our town is crying for help. If you would like to extend your assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps. Monetary donations would be most ideal. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
