Please help a sickle cell child who misses medication &meals

Hello! I want to genuinely thank you for taking the time to read through this project, my name is Julius Mutebi and I work with an organization called Ark Sickle Cell Children’s Foundation here in Uganda as its Director. 

I bring you the story of a lady who needs our help for her two children and her self. 

Luyana Fatuma is a single mother of two and both her children are suffering from sickle cell anemia. Her eldest daughter Hanifer is 17 years and has suffered 3 strokes which have left her blind, damn, unable to move her body to the point that her mother wakes up 2-3 times in the night to turn her in different positions during her sleep and in a bad mental state.

 Hanifer uses adult diapers and doesn’t attend school. Her mother Fatuma doesn’t work as she has to stay home everyday to look after Hanifer. She says she’s 15 months behind on her rent 100,000 UGX (30USD) per month and the only time her ex-husband tried to support her was when he sent her 3,000 UGX (1USD) so since that time she has never asked help from him. Everyday 

Hanifer uses medication worth 6,000UGX(2USD) it’s all by the mercy of God. Sometimes according to her they go weeks without medication since there is no money and this puts Hanifer in a much worse health situation, they miss meals ?

We humbly ask that we come together each one in their own capacity and support Hanifer. The money we’re to collect is for buying cereal (she eats soft foods only cause she can’t chew), long life milk, pampers, bushera & rice porridge, rice, fruits, helping with her rent.
