The International Festival "We Were Always Here" is an autonomous hip hop project with 100% female participation that seeks the recognition of women on the scene both in the country (Colombia) and throughout the world. With this festival we seek to celebrate, show and highlight the participation of women who throughout history not only in hip hop but throughout the system have been eliminated, overshadowed or put in the background, we seek to meet women creative and talented (because we know there are many of us) who live throughout Latin America, to show ourselves that women WE ALWAYS WERE, ARE AND WILL BE HERE, making hip hop, making history.

Activities are developed around the four elements that make up hip hop (graffiti, break dance, dj's and mc's), related workshops and audiovisual projections for 4 days.

This festival is the result of a meeting between women rappers and graffiti artists with the desire to create autonomous spaces that bet on hip hop free from the dirty participation of the State, because in times when even the counterculture is used against us, the time has come to return to that autonomous Hip Hop of the neighborhoods.

The festival covers accommodation, food, materials and space rental for the participants, adding the organization's advertising and transportation; The funds for this festival are raised through parties, raffles, clothing sales, food sales, support, sponsorships and donations from independent projects.

The festival takes place in the month of August of each year, in different cities of the country.

Lodging, food and materials includes more than 30 women from different countries and cities in the interior of Colombia, hiring a person or company that will be dedicated to supplying the girls with food, covering breakfast, dinner, snacks and hydration throughout the day (Bucaramanga is a dry tropics and reaches 25° C), buy materials for the development of graffiti (7 aerosols for each, with 15 women who paint, 4 background vinyl containers and 15 brushes), sound rental (two booths, one return, 3 microphones, a mixer, dance mat, turntable and stage) for rap presentations, break dance and DJ's; rental of spaces (community rooms, chairs, video beam, teaching material or others) for the development of workshops, presentations, talks or projections; advertising payment (design, banners, badges, promotion on social networks, etc.

Your help is very important to us, since this festival is our activity with the greatest impact, being able to hold the sixth edition is vital for us as organizers and for the girls as participants.
