Two years ago they detected a tumor in my mother's rectum, it was all because of pain, we took her to the hospital as an emergency and they had to operate immediately, in that first surgery she was hospitalized for 20 days in serious condition, the doctors told us that it was very difficult for her to come out, but thank God she recovered and came out, but they had to cut her intestine and make a colostomy (opening in the belly, abdominal wall) 2 months passed and she had to start with chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions for 3 months, in those 3 months we hospitalized her 5 times because she couldn't stand it.

After finishing the treatment, she went into surgery again, she was hospitalized for 18 days in serious condition, but they couldn't remove the tumor either and they had to cut more intestine and now make an ilestomy (opening in the abdominal wall), now my mother already had a colostomy and an ilestomy, the doctor told us that she had to take more chemotherapies, to be able to minimize the size of the tumor and be able to intervene again, once she recovered she started with her first chemo session, but she could no longer finish because we had to hospitalize her, she decided not to take any more chemo because they made her very sick, she did not eat, she had nausea all the time and the little she ate she vomited.

We went with many oncologists to give their opinion, we found an oncologist in Mexico City who, after seeing her tomography and studies, decided to operate on her again, the surgery lasted 9 hours, but unfortunately they couldn't remove the tumor either, since that the doctor explained to us that the tumor was already in the arteries and in the sacrum and there was no way to remove it because if he did it my mother would bleed to death, this was in August 2021 and since then my mother has suffered from very intense pain, because the tumor is no longer operable and continues to grow.

As a daughter, I have the hope and faith that this tumor can be undone, and I have been looking for endless options, and we have resorted to alternative treatments.
