My mother is a 56-year-old woman who currently lives in Venezuela and requires surgery on her right knee, due to a disabling osteoarthritis that causes her a lot of pain and does not allow her to carry out all her daily activities, since the simple walking is agony.
The surgery requires a primary right knee prosthesis, which costs $3,200, in addition to the surgery, which costs $2,500, without taking into account medications and physical therapy after surgery. Due to the situation in the country, it is known that these prices increase rapidly, which is why we see surgery more and more distant.
