Help our great love overcome cancer

Hello everyone,

18 years ago God rewarded me with a wonderful man, my great love, the most beautiful love, an honest man, tireless worker and the best father for my children, that is my husband Hermes Alberto Trejo Grateron, 40 years old .

Hermes Alberto, is the father of my three beautiful children, Luis Alberto (11), Diego Alberto (7) and Marley Valentina (5), his three great loves, as he always says "my children They are my engine of life, the fuel that feeds me day by day."

This new year 2022, brought with it a new opportunity, but also a new battle and that is that my husband had days feeling sick to his stomach, he was always inflamed with intense abdominal pain, until we decided to go to the doctor, because it It seemed that poor digestion or an irritable colon was affecting him a lot, he began to lose weight (approximately 20 kilos); We went to the specialist, the doctor ordered an abdominal ultrasound and the result showed an unknown mass with liver lesions.

Here began a new battle, each day the pain became more intense and uncontrollable despite the medications. Alberto, as I affectionately tell him because he, his father and all his siblings are named Hermes, required to be taken to the Medellín General Hospital for emergencies and remained hospitalized there for 20 days; period in which different studies were carried out such as tomography, resonance, endoscopy and biopsy of the liver lesion, resulting in adenocarcinoma of secondary origin (metastasis).

Although doctors have ordered this series of advanced studies to determine the origin of the disease, it is still unknown. However, the results have given a diagnosis of cancer of unknown origin and behavior with metastases in the liver, root of the mesentery, adenopathies in the bile ducts and involvement of the jejunum. Despite this scenario, we remain confident in God that as a warrior my husband will manage to overcome this disease.

I tell you that we are a Venezuelan family, since 2017 we have been in Colombia, this is motivated by the serious crisis in our country, which we are not going to add, since it is notable and evident with the more than 5,000,000 Venezuelan migrants that we find distributed throughout the world.

Given this situation, as migrants and because we do not have official documentation (which we are about to receive), access to work has not been limited and we do not have a formal job, which means that in this situation of health of my husband, it is difficult and complicated for us to fully attend to his delicate state of health, and at the same time, support our three small children, that is, if we do not work day by day, we have no income in our home. However, we have access to health through the subsidized regime, thanks to the Colombian government, but this health coverage is insufficient to treat Alberto's illness, since we have had to pay for some medical tests and procedures to advance with the diagnosis. and minimize the symptoms of this disease.
