Rainwater purification due to water scarcity in Misiones

We are the Taba Isiriri - Pueblos del Arroyo Civil Association (tabaisiriri.org) that has been working for more than 10 years in the southern area of ​​the province of Misiones, Argentina, carrying out projects to improve the quality of life in disadvantaged rural areas such as local homes and schools.

We are ready to execute a project in the town of Almafuerte that reduces some of the consequences of climate change and benefits the community.

In this sense, our proposal is to collect rainwater and make it drinkable to face water scarcity in periods of drought. Also, access and use solar energy in order to illuminate rural road intersections by placing luminaires equipped with cell phone chargers in public spaces where roads, bus stops, schools or wherever it is considered necessary converge.

This project was submitted to a competition for funds from the New Zealand embassy.

We were pleased to be selected in the award of funds for the execution of said project, which makes us happy and proud to know that more entities trust Taba Isiriri - Pueblos del Arroyo to solve problems for our families.

Notwithstanding this, due to the current inflationary process, the funds are not enough to complete the entire project. We need the collaboration of different entities, organizations and people who can contribute according to their possibilities.

For this same reason, we set a deadline to raise funds on July 1, 2022.
