I want to help my niece have an eye check up and treatment, for HER BIRTHDAY

Hello everyone,

I am Jenny. I love kids but don’t have kids of my own. But I have beautiful nieces and nephews that I love with all my heart.

The kid on the photo is my niece Mealle. She lives with her parents and siblings in the province of Makilala, Cotabato, Philippines. She was born premature and with a twin sister. Both had to stay in the public hospital for almost 3 months. Sadly her twin sister did not survive and died of sepsis. We were already losing hope for Maelle then as there were complications after complications. But she was a fighter and live. Her parents got into a lot of debts for the babies’ medications and laboratories. Despite everything Maelle went through, she grew into a very bubbly and happy child.

She is 3 years old now. She has a problem with her eyes. If you would look closely, she has lazy eyes and we also noticed that she has a hard time seeing things clearly that she would put things so close to her face when looking at it. She never had a check up for her eye problem and because her parents are still in debts until now and have 2 more children to take care of, the eye check up and treatment just did not become a priority due to lack of money.

I want to appeal to your generous hearts to please help me fund Maelle’s eye check-up and possible treatments. I also don't have the money to afford it no matter how much I wanted to help the kid.

If possible, I would love to give her that check up and treatment as a birthday gift. She will turn 4 this coming July 26, 2022. I don’t know much it going to cost but seeing an eye specialist for children in the Philippines is quite expensive. When I get the fund, I will take her to an eye doctor for check-up to figure out what’s wrong and what are the possible treatments she would need. Maybe she would need glasses.

It would really be a great help for her to grow normally. I am a little concern that she might have a hard time when she starts going to school because of her eye problem.
