Tuition fees for African Leadership University, Rwanda

Hello, good day,

I received admission into African Leadership University, Rwanda, to study software engineering and while I have hoped to receive a full scholarship, I received a grant instead.

This grant, the Community Leadership Grant, is a tuition waiver amounting to about 67% of the entire tuition fee. Out of the yearly tuition fee of $3,000, I am only required to pay $1,000. While this is a tuition fee waiver, it does not include transportation from Nigeria to Rwanda, nor does it cover accommodation, feeding and medical insurance.

This is why I am opting for the option of crowdfunding, in order to raise the money needed for my education. Below is a financial breakdown of the amount I need for support:

1.Tuition Fee – $1,000 ≈ ₦415,400

2. Airfare ≈ ₦213,098

3. Accommodation & Feeding (ALU facilitated) – $1,120 ≈ ₦464,486

4. Medical Insurance (ALU facilitated) – $125 ≈ ₦51,840

5. Laptop ( I do not have a laptop and I do need one, since it is software engineering I am going to study) ≈ ₦150,000 (opting for a fairly used, instead of a new one)
