God can fulfill my dream

Hello everyone,

The Duarte Salazar Foundation, under the Healthy Mind in Healthy Body program, seeks to enhance the skills of children and adolescents so that they can practice basketball in an integrated manner with a view to a promising future.

Fernanda, is a daughter, friend, sister, and an excellent student; her Montes Villafuente family is made up of Mom, Dad, and her two brothers, her charisma complements the warmth of her home.

Fernanda was born into a home of sports parents and her passion for basketball has been broadcast in his community, Villa Mariona uno, since he was six years old; community that belongs to the municipality of Cuscatancingo, Department of San Salvador, El Salvador.

The purpose of Community Social Sports seeks to be a tool for healthy coexistence through sports practices and their different manifestations in a sustainable and articulated, for the transformation of change in individual and group behavior.

The poor condition of the field of Villa Mariona 1, does not stop the passion of Mauricio Urrutia, sports community leader, who for 31 years He has worked on a deteriorated court, where thousands of girls and boys have started their training in basketball. This is how the community basketball project was born: Eagles Basketball School; of which Fernanda is a part, she and 90 more developing athletes who attend their training from nearby neighborhoods.

With our project, we seek to raise $1,500.00 with the objective that Fernanda fulfill her dream of traveling to the “Camps & Clinic ”organized by Basketball Planetinternational in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with the aim of improving her training as an athlete. This will cover travel and accommodation expenses during the trip.

The “Camps & Clinic”, will take place from December 10 to 17, 2022.

Fernanda with a nervous smile, and eyes full of tears of happiness, thanks her mother and told us: ¨I never imagined that something That's how it could happen to me, I'm very excited to be able to go to the event, if first God can make my dream come true.”
