Need to help my friend pay his medical bill to avoid lawsuit

Hello everyone! 

This is not my first time making a crowdfunding post to help friends of mine, unfortunately none from the past has earned any cent. I am Denniel Gasmen from Philippines. When I was in Ukraine, I happened to meet plenty of wonderful international friends. I would like to introduce one, Masum Timurtaş, from Siirt, Turkiye. He is like a brother to me. He had taken an urgent surgery last September 16  for his benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). 

He was previously unemployed, after his retrenchment in Istanbul, so his initial deposit in the bank was paid with loan. He was told to pay the remaining balance on the day of his surgery, on which he had a chance to book few months ago. He was already in turmoil few days before the surgery date, and he said it will be very difficult to postpone and schedule another date; more especially because of the great pain he is bearing which requires the urgency of execution. On the day of his surgery, he requested to extend time to accumulate money for the payment. That moment, I cannot imagine the physical pain and the mental stress he is handling simultaneously.  He tells he couldn't sleep until morning, overthinking about the consequences of not being able to pay. 

4 days after the surgery, he was summoned to court for his unpaid medical debt. I cannot help him at the moment because I am still a student and I just paid my school fees. 

You might be asking why he couldn't just take a loan. He actually had asked multiple persons for loan, all family and friends, but unfortunately he is in a country with surging inflation. As of this writing, the country is under 80% inflation. Please just imagine. The rest of his friends and neighbors are in the same financial condition as he is. Life is not the same as everyone, especially for the majority of people in Turkiye. I also just learned recently that Turkiye does not legally allow pawnshops. The banks, moreover, will not  lend any amount to unemployed people. 

I am starting this fundraising for him in the hope of easing his burden. 13,000 turkish lira is the amount of the debt he has yet to pay. This is a little over 700 usd. He cannot work yet, as much as he desires to, as he is still in his recovery phase. It may take months. Few movements causes his wound to bleed sometimes. 

My heart aches to see this kind of situation, especially when i cannot be helpful. But I am willing to send him some amount too if this plan fails. He needs to settle the debt or else an official lawsuit will be ordered.

I promise to show updates for every cent i will ever receive, until the time i can send the amount to him. I am doing this favor for him because he cannot speak English and he is planning to sell his phone very soon.
