Help Juno Marco fight AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation)

Hello everyone,

I am writing this, hoping that you'll extend your generosity for my son, Juno Marco V. Abuyan, 8 years old, a grade 3 student at Don Jose Ynares Elementary School and is currently living in Binangonan Rizal Philippines. He is a joyful and a very adventurous child, wanting to be an architect in the future.

Last October 29, 2022 at 4.00 p.m, Juno complained about having a headache (10/10 on a pain scale) associated with dizziness and dyspnea. My wife rushed him to the nearest hospital but on their way, my son passed out for 1-2 minutes and after he regained consciousness, he was observed to have left-sided lower and upper extremities weakness and left-sided facial drooping along with slurring of speech. The doctor immediately request for certain test including ECG and CT Scan. After 8 hours, results showed that he had an acute intraparenchymal hemorrhage.

The doctor told us to transfer to a bigger hospital for they do not have a doctor specializing in neurosurgery. The transfer was even delayed due to lack of referral and we have to wait for 2 days to be transferred. We stayed at the new hospital for 13 days as my son needs proper medication to control the hemorrhage. The neurosurgeon run down various test, and found out that my son has an ARTERIOVENOUS MALFORMATION (AVM), an abnormal inborn condition in which certain blood vessels get tangled which when ruptured, it disrupts normal blood flow and oxygen supply. The neurosurgeon suggest that my son should undergo Gamma Knife Radiosurgery (GKR) for the condition that cannot be done by the usual open surgery because the AVM is too deep and it might be too risky. The neurosurgeon then suggest that we transfer to Cardinal Santos Medical Center, the only hospital in the Philippines that offers GKR. He also told us that GKR is too pricey that we need to prepare at least P500,000 ($9,000 USD). The neurosurgeon also advised us that the GKR should be done as soon as possible for the AVM could be life threatening.

We don't have the means and honestly have no idea where will we get the said amount and that I used up all my savings paying the bills for the past 2 hospitals where my son was admitted. As a father, I am just taking a chance here hoping that good people will help my son with this rough journey. The fund that will be raised here will surely be a big help for my son and any amount will be very much appreciated.
