Help Ishauna to be able to study a bachelor's degree

Hello,

My name is Andrea Grillo. I want to help my friend Ishauna Ushigua from the Sapara Nation to be able to study her bachelors degree.

She is a woman who lives in the Ecuadorian Amazon, and belong to the Sapara people, who were declared as Oral Heritage of Humanity. Her family has suffered many abuses such as colonization, dispossession of our land, slavery carried out by rubber companies, and constant threats of oil exploitation in our territories. Since she was a child, she learned the teachings of her father who was a spiritual leader (shaman).

She is passionate about educating the children of her community; the teachings and customs of the life of her ancestors, to help harmonize a generation for peace and tranquility.

She is currently in the final stages of her higher education, and she is very proud to be able to study a bachelor's degree in order to help improve the education in her community. It is with this aim in her heart that she is requesting for support to cover her transportation out of the jungle in a small plane to be able to attend university, as well as her expenses regarding her university’s semester pension.

University pension payments - $900 USD

Total needed: $1,500 USD

She is very excited to improve the education in rural communities, using their community’s teaching tools, and help educate the children of the community and enhance their cultural heritage. With your support she certain we will be able to improve the educational quality of our children in the jungle.
