My Journey of Hope and Resilience as a First-Time Traveller🌟

Hello, my name is David Samuel.

I’m a Nigerian who’s currently in Uganda.

I traveled to Uganda a year ago with the hope of reaching Europe, but things didn’t go as planned. I was duped by the same people who arranged my journey, and I got stranded in Uganda, a foreign country I had never been to before. It was my first time traveling outside Nigeria.

During my time here, I found a family who listened to my story and offered me a place to stay. I’m forever grateful for their kindness and generosity🙏🏼. They helped me cope with the depression and isolation I felt from being away from home and losing everything I had.

As time went by, I decided to turn my situation around and make the best of it. I realized that cosmetics and barbing were skills that I always admired and enjoyed, so I enrolled in a training program to learn them. Cosmetics and barbing are services that are in high demand in Uganda, especially among the growing middle class and young population12.

Now, to the glory of God, I’ve made a lot of progress that even surprises me. But more importantly, I’m grateful to God for giving me a new purpose and direction in life🙏🏼. My dream is to establish my salon and provide quality services to my customers.

That’s why I decided to create this fundraising page so that I can seek support from you all🙏🏼. I need funds to buy equipment, rent a space, and advertise my business.

I’ll sincerely appreciate any donations, and I believe God Almighty will bless and reward everyone who contributes to my success. And of course, I also appreciate those who wish to help but couldn’t🙏🏼.
