Save a Family from Homelessness

Hi,

I am Jann. Proud mother of 4 amazing kids based in South Africa.

Ours is not a unique story. Yet we are hoping you'd find our project more so.

This project cannot pay every heart felt pledge back, but every cent raised WILL be paid forward towards assisting and changing the lives of other needy families.

My husband was made redundant last year. Out of love and dedication, he accepted a job in sales which only paid commission. Market was not great, and I became sole provider for our family. Needless to say, we couldn't cover all our bills. And we were handed an eviction notice recently. We have nowhere to go. In South Africa, landlords expect new tenants pay 3 months rental up-front.

As a middle-class family, we're not poverty stricken enough for state assistance, and too poverty stricken for bank assistance.

My husband has been blessed to find a new job, but understandly, our very kind landlords cannot afford the deficit in this economic climate any longer. We need to resolve by end July 2023 to remain in our home. Or exit.

As we find our feet, our pledge to you is that we will gradually pay each cent forward towards helping another charity, family in need, or with a random act of kindness. Our family mantra has always been: helping hands are holier than praying lips. And ask each person to do the same.
