Support Luis to overcome his multiple health problems

Hello, I am Gabriela Ochoa, Luis’s mom. Luis is my teenage son who has suffered from epilepsy since he was 5 years old, a neurological disability that has caused him many physical, emotional, and psychosocial complications throughout his life. I am a single and working mother, and I am always attentive to my son, but I need your help to provide him with the medical attention he needs.

On September 29, 2022, Luis arrived at the hospital in pre-infarction with multiple complications and alterations due to seizures. Since then, he has been treated by specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, pulmonology, pulmonary physiology, cardiology, internal medicine, pediatric surgery, endocrinology, urology, nephrology, hematology, child welfare unit, sleep disorders clinic, ophthalmology, cellular nutrition, nutrition and diet, maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, genetics, and allergology.

Currently, Luis has the following health conditions:

- Epilepsy

- Metabolic syndrome

- Insulin resistance

- Hypertension

- Sleep apnea

- Risk of infarction

- Cysts in the urinary tract that require 3 urgent surgeries

- Palate deformity that makes breathing difficult and requires several maxillofacial surgeries

- Several allergies

All these health problems require very expensive genetic studies, surgeries also very expensive, and a device called CPAP/BIPAP for sleep apnea that here in Mexico is very expensive and costly to maintain. My economic situation is unsustainable, and I cannot cover all the medical expenses Luis needs.

That is why I ask you to help me help Luis. I as a mother try to give him the best so that his development and environment are adequate, but we need you to help him get out of this health crisis that has been going on for almost a year.
