Save the Carbonero, a food truck with a family flavor.

Hello, we are Jairo, Mónica, and Esteban, an Ecuadorian family that came together to start a fast food business called El Carbonero.

Before this year, we had a diaper franchise from an important company in our country and this was our daily livelihood. However, since the pandemic, this company began to have several internal problems that harmed us economically to all the franchisees. So we were forced to end the franchise and acquire debts to cover the legal expenses of closing the diaper store.

From there, we were only able to find sporadic jobs that have allowed us to cover our basic needs, but not the debts incurred, so they have accumulated.

Despite all this, we have always been looking for solutions, and one of these came up a little over a month ago when the opportunity arose to buy a food truck. As we had experience in the fast food business from a few years ago, we decided to take a risk. But since we did not have enough money, we looked for a partnership.

Until a week ago, everything was going well. We received a good reception from customers and managed to cover some of the obligations with our partner. However, for personal reasons, he has decided to end the partnership and wants all his money in a single payment or he will sell the food truck and we will be left without this livelihood.

For us it is very important to be able to preserve this venture as it unites us as a family and we have put our 100% in this short time. So we are certain that we can get it ahead.

Due to the debts mentioned above, we still cannot get loans from the bank. But as we have always been looking for solutions, we came to this Airfunding monetary support community.

As we lose nothing by trying, we ask for your help to raise $1200 which is the amount with which we can buy the partner’s part and continue giving all our effort to get this family business ahead.
