Who we are

Hello, we are Alma and Cris, a couple who live in the city of Puebla, Puebla (Mexico), after one year of being happily married. We love each other very much and we have always supported each other through thick and thin. Here is a photo of us together, smiling and holding hands.

Why we need your help

Unfortunately, at the beginning of 2023, my health (Alma) began to decline and sadly I had to quit my job, as it was impossible for me to even get out of bed. Thanks to God, the support of my family, and the care of my husband, I have been able to get ahead and I am currently undergoing treatment. However, economically we have struggled a lot, since now in addition to paying rent (which increased considerably), we also have to pay for medical consultations and my medications. Also, due to my medical condition, I have not been able to find a new job, so to be able to support myself, pay for my treatment, and help my husband little by little, I sell desserts and used clothing in a bazaar. Here is a photo of the desserts and clothes that I sell in the bazaar.

How much we need and what we will use it for

Luckily, my husband Cris will be promoted to a better position at his job in mid-September. However, this promotion implies moving to a new city, since the job position is located three hours away from our current home. That is why we kindly ask for your help since we need to move soon and according to what we have quoted, we will need around $30 000 MXN (about $$2000 to rent a new apartment, move the furniture and buy some items that we will not be able to take with us from the current apartment since they belong to the landlord. Air funding only allows us to request up to $1500 but with that, you would help us a lot to be able to move and pay at least one month’s rent while they pay my husband and at the same time that I keep looking for a job.
