Recovering a Home: United After the Robbery

Hello, my name is Camilo Gaviria and I live in Bogotá, where a week ago we were victims of a robbery that left us without savings. This money was meant to finish paying the initial fee of an apartment for a young woman of 21 years old who has worked honestly and with dedication to achieve her dream. We are looking for your support to recover what we lost and move forward. Your donation will help us replenish funds and complete the dream of having our own home. Every contribution counts in this path towards recovery.

My project is a way of showing solidarity and proving that the good ones are more. It aims to demonstrate that with the support of many we can achieve a dream that was hurt by insecurity and violence.

I am motivated by firmly believing that collective kindness exists and that more people can do good than those who are on the streets spreading violence and insecurity.

For some people, gathering the money for buying an apartment, to achieve that dream, is a challenge. To achieve it and then have unscrupulous people hurt you, steal your money, and frustrate your dream is painful. In this case, this project seeks to help a person who was robbed of the money with which she would finish paying her initial fee so that she can continue with her purchase and achieve her apartment.

I firmly believe that the good ones are more, and this project would confirm it. Not only because of the altruistic thinking that revolves around the wonderful people who collaborate but also because it opens a door of hope for those who unfortunately are victims of violence through modalities such as theft. They could see in this project a clear example of solidarity that motivates them not to lose their confidence in society and that despite the evimany more kind-hearted people are willingng to extend their hand for a good cause.

To achieve the goal, it is necessary to raise a little more than 5,000 USD, which is close to the amount that was stolen. The funds of the project are destined to pay the remaining initial fee for the apartment. The schedule is established by the construction company, which has not given a deadline for making the remaining payment. We have also considered requesting a loan from a third party, in which case the funds will be used to return this money to the third party.
