The inception of MAKNA was nothing short of a dream,

MAKNA has made a profound difference in the lives of thousands of cancer patients and their families during what could be their most trying times

MAKNA's mission revolves around providing multi-faceted support and services to cancer patients, chief of which is the Bursary Program. It offers both financial and non-financial assistance to cancer patients coming from unfortunate socio-economical that undergoes treatment at public hospitals across Malaysia.

MAKNA's Bursary Program collaborates with 106 government hospitals and has helped over 73,000 cancer cases involving underprivileged cancer patients.

Many young cancer patients and survivors missed their education due to cancer.

To help them regain the lost opportunity, MAKNA provides education support through the MAKNA Scholarship Program.

Many of these individuals face challenges in continuing their education due to the resources allocated for their treatment.

In 2022 alone, MAKNA granted scholarships to 107 recipients, providing a total of RM 119,804 in financial support.

MAKNA's reach also extends to cancer screening initiatives.

MAKNA aims to provide breast mammograms and clinical breast examinations while raising cancer awareness, especially among Malaysians in rural areas.

By 2022, the MAKNA Mobile Breast Cancer Screening Program had conducted 32,183 mammograms and 19,086 clinical breast examinations.
