Crime awareness and prevention anti-bullying in our schools

Greetings everyone,

My name is Vusi Mthembu from Haniville, Pietermaritzburg in South Africa. I am 47 years old, founder and Chairperson of Nikithemba NPO. The organization was registered in 2019, and has Registration Number: 221/836 NPO. What motivated me to start the organization is my past experience, during 1998 I was sentenced to 3 life sentences and 114 years. While in prison I realized that the intake was the youth which disturbed me a lot and I decided that if given a second chance I will warn the youth about the consequences of crime and life behind bars. That is what the organization is doing but due to lack of funds it is difficult to fulfill the mission of the organization. We are trying our level best but it's not easy hence I am pleading with everyone to assist in grooming our future leaders. I am determined to show the youth out there that there's more to life than doing drugs and abusing alcohol which might lead them to prison. We also do a lot in our community such as Gender based violence, teenage pregnancy and community engagement looking at various issues that affects our communities. The aim is to make sure that they don't go through the same route I went through.
