Introduction

Hi my name is Markus,

I'm from Penang Island, Malaysia. I've graduated back in 2013 as an architect from University of Tasmania and currently running my own design firm Nebulus Interiors.

I have always been fascinated and thrilled by 3D printing technology and the never ending possibilities that can come out of 3D printing industry when it grows bigger and bigger if we look and develop more into it.

During this unprecedented period of Covid-19 pandemic, sprouted new innovative ideas on how to face and fight this virus together as a nation. 1 week go, I came across a news article about a young engineer/entrepreneur, Ooi Shiong York, who designed and 3D printed Face Shield that will be used by nurses and doctors

Ooi's idea and efforts also received massive support from our Penang state government to mass produce 2000 pieces of Face Shield daily for a month.

What is the funding for?

This news article has sparked more fire on top of the interest that I had for 3D printing. So I would hope to get some funds to purchase a few 3D printers to kick start this endeavour and hopefully to develop a version of my own Face Shield design or to lend a helping hand in the production of Face Shield for the government when demand of Face Shield rises,if required. This will really help the frontliners that are taking care of the patients.

Or even possibly ship these Face Shields out to other countries that needs it

Future Ideas

To develop and further research on how to 3D print household furnitures with biodegradable materials which can later on be melted and to be re-printed into another whole new furniture without having to dispose of it, pilling up landfills, which poses as a huge problem now and for the future. By using reusable furnitures we can hopefully cut down on wastages and save the environment. Plus, 3D printed furniture designs are kind of slick and beautiful!

Here are some examples of 3D printed furnitures

Hoping that funders can share the same vision and acknowledge the great possibility that can come out of this!

I would be happy if you could use the [Help by sharing] button to share about my project!
