MINING EQUIPMENT FOR LOW RESOURCES

Hello everyone.

My name is Pedro Lepin, a scout leader and lover of mountaineering, I live in the city of Temuco, Araucanía region, Chile.

As a Scout leader I am in charge of the Clan, this section is made up of young people between 16 and 22 years old.

The clan I work with is called Pangui Mahuida (mountain puma), it is a name in Mapudungun, the native language of my Mapuche people, this clan in turn is part of the Mountain Scout Group of Temuco.

My objective...

As a chief scout and mountaineer, I want to teach these young people that mountain sport is safe and transfer my knowledge acquired after years of practice.

The problem...

The vast majority of the beneficiaries of this group are low-income children, so when trying to carry out mountain activities I find myself with big problems with equipment and for the costs that this implies as it is difficult to acquire for these boys.

First mountain activity..

Last year after getting me a pair of mountain backpacks with friends, kitchenettes, mats and a 4-season tent, I managed to do an approximate 12 km trekking with 3 young scouts plus the Cajón de Alpehue, located in the cordillerano sector of the region.

What do we need...

To start little by little in mountain activities, we need in the first instance 1,500 dollars, to buy essential equipment, which are detailed below with their respective value in Chilean pesos.
