COVID Relief For the Poor and Indigenous People

My name is Aldrin Puerto, I am 28 years old, a seafarer by profession and living in the Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro Philippines.

Help for The Manyan Tribe of Sitio Balani Ligaya, Sablayan Occidental Mindoro

February since the Pandemic Covid19 hit the whole world, Philippines is one of the poor countries that is facing the battle against the covid19 and because of this our President decides to put the country into Enhanced community lockdown, meaning there will be no source of income for those workers who are earning a little amount.

We are now on the third month of Lockdown and a lot of poor people of Sablayan Occidental Mindoro are suffering from starvation, elders, kids, infants, and indigenous people are the most affected on this lockdown.aide from the local government will not be enough to supply everyone.

Beneficiaries of the Covid19 relief operation I made are The Manyan Tribe of Sitio Balani Ligaya, Sablayan Occidental Mindoro. They live in a Mountain Village which is limited from food since they need to walk in 3 mountains for several hours to reach the highway/transportation road and then they will pay to ride to reach the market for few minutes. I have visited this place when I did the give away of school supplies and feeding for indigenous students, their lives are really modest, they don't even have clean water supply and even market on their village, So I think this Manyan tribe deserves to be benefited by my project.

targeting 150 aid packages for 2 consecutive months

My family and I were doing charity giving since the year 2018 from our own money since we are all working professionals, but now I decided to create this project to get additional funds for a bigger project, my family and I will share as well,.there are youth organization who wants to help in doing relief packs and distribution of relief goods. A service vehicle will be asked to the Municipal Government of Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro for the delivery of relief goods.

I do hope that these 150 indigenous people receive our help especially during this covid19 pandemic where they need us the most.

the delivery of relief goods will be conducted by Me together with the youth organization volunteers. I plan to divide the relief giving in two consecutive months wherein: August (150 families × 500 pesos worth of relief goods) September(150 Families × 500 pesos worth of goods) wherein the relief goods include rice, canned goods, noodles, beans, and some vitamins.

Deadline of fundraising

There is no limit of time needed but if we can make the fund earlier then we could save thousands of lives earlier too...
