Medical expenses for our little warrior Kassy.

Hi everyone!

My name is Cathy and I am from the Philippines.

I'm currently raising funds to help my niece's daughter, who is currently fighting for her life.

Kassy, our little warrior that still fighting for her life

Kassandra Louise Epe Jumaquio is my niece's daughter. She was born on July's 18.

She was born prematurely, after 32 weeks only. Her organs weren't able to develop correcty, and now she is in the Intensive Care Unit in St. Luke's Medical Center.

The medical care she's receiving is very expensive and the family can't afford it.

An unexpected delivery

Kassy's planned were planning to deliver the baby in Los Baños Doctors Hospital in Laguna, an affordable hospital.

They did a lot of effort to save and prepare the money to pay the medical fees.

However, my niece suffered pre-eclampsia (gestational hypertension) and abruptio placenta (ruptured placenta can deprive the baby of oxygen and nutrients and cause heavy bleeding in the mother). This leaded her to emergency delivery via caesaria.

She had to deliver the baby on St. Luke's Medical Center, a 4-star hospital in Taguig. It's impossible for the family to gather all the money they need to pay the medical fees.

Medical expenses costs up to $600 per day

Because Kassy was born earlier, some of her internal organs weret't developed well, especially the lungs.

She still needs to be closely monitored in the NICU and will remain with oxygen until her lungs are fully developed.

Her daily hospital fee ranges from P30,000-P40,000 ($600-$800) per day. Our goal is to support her medical needs until she is fully recovered and ready to come home.

Details on needed funds

All we want to raise in this project is for Kassy's NICU state that might be cost about $22.000, but we will raise for now 1.500 at first, all of your help will be meaningful for Kassy and their parents!

Schedule

All gathered funds will be used for Kassy's medical fee.

Since we don’t know how long our little kassy will be on the NICU, we approximate it until she on exact 9 months old (36 weeks). As for delivery cost of cassy, we already covered it.

We would try to figure out what to do to keep gathering help. We've already planned to make some t-shirts and sell it!
