Funds for my dad's treatment against prostate cancer!

My name is Vanessa and I live in General Santos, Philippines!

I would like to raise some funds to pay a treatment for my dad, who is suffering from prostate cancer. I would really appreciate any help!

Suffering stage 4 prostate cancer

My dad is 76 years old, and he is suffering prostate cancer.

It's a stage 4 prostate cancer, so we understand that the treatment is really difficult, but I would really like to improve his life quality and be able to spend more time with him.

If we want him to undergo surgery, we need to pay all the cost and this is huge.

I've managed to save only $200

I'm working as a freelance photographer.

As a freelance my monthly income is not fixed and is not enough.

My family is managing a sari-sari store. This is like a convenience store, but the benefits are not so high.

My dad's pension and the benefits of the store are not enough, so I'm trying to support them every month as much as I can. That's the reason why I couldn't save enough money for the surgery.

Receiving official help

My dad is feeling really bad as he thinks he is a burden for our family, and I don't want him to feel like that.

I don't want him to worry and feel bad so I'm doing my best to find help everywhere. I've asked to politicians, I've asked to our city mayor and finally I've receive some help (about $160).

I feel really grateful for the received help, but it is not enough to pay all the expenses. That's why I'm trying to raise funds here.

Details on needed funds

In order to pay the surgery expenses, I would like to raise at least $1,530. I hope for everyone's support!

If my project success I will be able to pay the treatment.

My dad's condition is getting worse so I would really appreciate if I can receive help as soon as possible. If I can't manage to receive enough funds I will try to get again some help from the government.
