Help Surf Instructors in Bali from COVID-19

Hello!

I'm David Ruben Aruan. I am surfing instructor in Kuta beach in Bali island. Since 2012, I've been taught people how to surf in the dazzling sea and created beautiful memories.

COVID-19 Take Away the Life in Bali Island

Bali has been in shutdown since early April due to COVID-19. And it took away my job and life at the beach. I can't work any more, nor teach surf. I lost my work place, Kuta beach. Bali has been closed for 3 months and there are no incomes at all. Since 80% of Bali people are working in tourism industry, me myself and all the surfing instructor lost their job.

I'm from Northern part of Indonesia, Sumatra island but I've worked in Bali since 2012. However, government doesn't provide any support from COVID-19 since I was not born in Bali. I tried to find the way to earn money, however Bali island is so affected by the virus, and there are no way to overcome.

That's why I am raising funds to ask you to help me survive until the Bali island reopen for the tourism.

Your Help will Get Me Food and Survive

I spent everyday hoping that it would be better in a month or two, but in reality, I'm afraid I won't be able to do anything until this year. While I'm going to see this through, I could do with some help.

With the money collected, I will buy foods for my co-workers and neighbours. To buy the rice for a week cost approximately $30 and for the instant noodles $10. Any donation, however small, will help me get through a harsh reality. Me and my co-workers are suffering to buy food a lot. I'd appreciate it if you could help me stay on my feet so that later, I can teach you how to surf with a smile again.
