BRAWNY VET BILLS

Hello everyone!

I am Maricar Sangalang, 34 years old, from Magalang, Pampanga, Phillipine. I am a teacher.

I've been rescuing dogs and cats, and keep them at my home.

Story of BRAWNY

I'm here raising funds for my precious "BRAWNY." I have no idea where to start with this, but here is my rescued fur-baby's story...

Around 2009 or 2010, the former-owner of "Brawny" had wanted to give "Brawny" to the people who are known for eating dog's meat for "pulutan" ( i. e. "Pulutan" is being served during "Beer Time.").

I had a hard time looking for someone who could adopt him until he ended up living with me. I feel so guilty for having no enough time to walk him since I work more than 8 hours a day.

Sadly, we live in a place where most neighbors bully me for rescuing such. "BRAWNY" and I can hardly walk in the day time because of these bully people.

So, during my free weekends or holidays, I make sure to have "Brawny" play with me in my bedroom, the only safe place for him to play around.

Every time, has never been a play time but is like a wrestling time! Maybe because "Brawny" is just so much excited to play or just spend time with me! Whenever I arrived home from work, "Brawny's" welcoming - smile never fails to make my each day counts!

At the back of my mind, I feel guilty and sad knowing he just stay there in one place always waiting for my free-weekends or holidays. I wish we could play around in the park but it never happened due to bully people and my physical constrain from my breast operation last year, 2018.

After few months which I was sure that I was already fine, I wanted to surprise him for a walk... (I must be bad being happy that one of the bully people died already).

Yes, a surprise DAY TIME WALK, AT LAST!

This surprise didn't materialize because of two reasons:

1. I was advised by my OB-Gyne to file a work leave and have a bed rest due to my "Threatened Miscarriage Pregnancy," a reason also for not being able to play with "Brawny."

2. After few days, "Brawny" just suddenly couldn't manage to stand and walk.

BRAWNY Got Heartworm

I felt totally worried and guilty about Brawny. I thought that he couldn't manage to stand and walk was because of not having him more time to talk, play or exercise with me.

But then THE VET SAID THAT "BRAWNIE" HAS HEARTWORM.

With no enough money on my pocket, I didn't have any second thought of taking him to the vet. I was able to pay only the admission fee and some first medicine given.

Today is "Brawny's" 5th day in the hospital and I've no money left to pay his Vet bills, medications and even the service I use to visit him.
