MASK FOR WASTE HEROES

Hello!

I Am Gladys kibe from Kenya, I am a counselor by profession and my passion is working closely with waste heroes "scavengers" as many call them.

I have a plan is to give the waste pickers with 6 pieces of masks which will take them through for the whole week, Since they deal with trash every day and it's impossible for them to wash.

waste heroes "scavengers" as many call them, are people who are doing a very honorable job of cleaning the environment through the community has sidelined them and no one cares about their well being.

A time like this when COVID19 is at the peak in Kenya these guys have no masks and I have been struggling to make sure that no waste hero works without one and another one to change.

Many people and almost no one notices that they need to be helped out since the much they earn is not enough for food and any extra expense. I have been buying the masks and giving them but I find myself stuck and the number of waste pickers is increasing with the same need.

Usage of the funds

I have managed to buy for the month of August and not sure because it depends on how many I come across on the roads and dumpsites.

If I managed to reach $1,500, it can be purchased to buy 3,240masks and will be distributed to 540 waste pickers.

I would like to see them with a mask every time like any other human being.
