Let's help children in orphanages to discover the world

AIESEC is an international youth-run organization that enables students to develop personal and professional skills through the implementation of social projects, international exchange programs, and professional internships.

AIESEC works closely with the UN to create global initiatives and projects, and since 2015 we have been working together to achieve 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals. 

The project is directed on the 4th Sustainable Development goal: Quality Education and 10th Sustainable Development goal: Reduces Inequalities. The main goal of the project is to tell kids about Sustainable Development Goals, Human rights and quality. They will also have a unique opportunity to learn new cultures from the native ambassadors, practice or learn English from native speakers. 

Unfortunately in Ukraine, children who go to orphanages have limited access to quality education especially to learn English, it is a difficult problem for those orphanages, which located far from the regional center. Our project can allow children to have the opportunity to learn English with foreign interns and also know about other cultures. They will be aware of life in other countries about their rights, to become a world citizen, to change the world for the better in the future, to contribute to the fight against all restrictions and inequalities.

This project directed on children who live in orphanages and want to discover the world, this is why students from different countries are becoming volunteers and friends for kids. The main activities of the project include introducing yourself and your country, discussing SDGs, Universal human/children rights, inequality, how to work in the team, about migration and cross-cultural conflicts theoretically and practically.  

We are planning to realize this project in two stages from 22.06.2021 to 02.07.2021. We are working with the orphanages located in Kyiv and Kyiv region.

We sure that it would be a great experience either for kids and young perspective people who want to make our world kinder! We need to add that this project will continue to be implemented in the future.
