We're Back to School Africa Initiative, an organization that fights to provide access to education to children in vulnerable communities across Nigeria.

We're raising funds in order to provide school material to 400 children in 8 vulnerable Nigerian communities.

About our organization

Back to School Africa Initiative is a youth-led and volunteers-based non-profit organization that is committed to building Africa’s future by providing education to children and youths in vulnerable communities in Nigeria.

Our main activity is the mobilization of resources to provide access to education and care to out of school and less privileged children in vulnerable communities across Nigeria.

Since its formations, Back to School Africa Initiative has provided education, care, mentorship and general support to over 1000 under privilege and out of school children across several undeserving communities in Nigeria.

Difficulties during the COVID-19 crisis

Our activities have been affected by COVID-19 to a large extent.

We had planned a project to reach 1000 children with access to education and technical skills earlier this year but due the pandemic, we put all activities relating to that project on hold.

More so, the biggest issue we currently face is the lack of funding. Due to the global economic situation, it has become very difficult to access funding or to get new donors to sponsor our projects.

That's why we need your help now more than ever.

Providing school supplies to 400 children

With the funds collected in this project, we want to provide school material to 400 children in 8 communities in the country.

We would like to raise enough funds to be able to provide books, bags, hand sanitizers, uniforms and writing materials.

Once we receive the collected funds we will kick off the outreach immediately starting with communities in Lagos State and then move on to the other states.
