We want to share you OUR STORY.

How we started Hope for Mityana Street Children and Orphans

Many years ago, after witnessing a homeless child run over in the street, I resolved to found a home for abandoned children in my local community of Mityana, Uganda. Together with friends and volunteers, we managed to open Hope for Mityana Street Children and Orphans.

We currently support over 200 children

To this day, we have never turned away a needy child or family. We currently support over 200 children, through direct care in our orphanage, and by providing support and services to families in desperate need.

The pressuring challenge of COVID-19

The Covid-19 crisis hit us hard. Our sources of funding were abruptly cut off due to the pandemic. We are now at a point of crisis, and have turned to online fundraising to meet our basic needs.

Please donate to help us through this crisis! Your donations will go directly to feed, clothe, shelter and provide clean water, medical care and education to the children who depend on us. Our staff do not accept salaries - we are all volunteers.
