A PROSTHESIS FOR MY DAD CAN WALK AGAIN.

My father's name is Jose Rigoberto Gutierrez Ninco from Armenia, Quindío and it's my reason for fighting. A few months ago, after several tests with misdiagnoses and delays, he was finally and unfortunately diagnosed with cancer in his left leg (Malignant Tumor in Bones and cartilage), unfortunately it was already very advanced. We have been in a very tiring process both physical, mental and economic. Time after the diagnosis, they gave us the unfortunate news that they had to amputate his left leg complete with disarticulation of the pelvis. As hard as the news was, it was the only option to save his life. After 5 hours of delicate and high-risk surgery, he emerged victorious from it and a very careful recovery process. Little by little he has been recovering with the help of God and the courage he possesses. There is still a very long way to go knowing that this stage has been the hardest of his life, for me too, since, as an only child, I am responsible for my father, considering that my Mother died years ago of Cancer also and that he can no longer work in the cabinetmaking that was his profession and livelihood. At this moment my father is already a little more stable, trying to be positive and see the situation in the best way, but his mobility is extremely difficult. We have a wheelchair that they gave us, but even so, their mobility is still too complicated. I would really like to give my dad a better quality of life knowing that he has a separate hearing disability and now physical because of the loss of his leg. Therefore, I would like to get a prosthesis that suits our needs, but we do not have the financial resources for this. I thank you in advance for your attention and if possible some collaboration as soon as possible to finally be able to start with his rehabilitation.
