Asked for your help for my nephew, Dylan

Tijuana, Baja California, September 11, 2019.- Playful, cheerful, innocent like any child at that age, that's how Dylan was during his first years of life. But bad fortune reached him.

‘‘ He started after three years with seizures, then he stopped walking, stopped talking, was losing his ability to take things, he stopped eating ’,’ shared Cecilia Yamileth, Dylan’s mother.

Dylan turned six years old last Saturday, but he could no longer split his cake by himself, his arms and legs gave up, they no longer respond. Just stare at what is happening around you. Crying is the only thing left to communicate.

Specialist doctors diagnosed him with Ceroid Neuronal Lipofuscinosis, an extremely rare neurodegenerative disease, which will gradually take away his life if he does not receive a treatment considered within the ten most expensive in the world.

The price of treatment to stop the progression of the disease, exceeds 480 thousand dollars per year. An impossible amount to pay for this family with limited resources.

Dylan is a patient at Tijuana General Hospital, where according to the family, they were denied support. The Secretary of Health of Baja California does not answer the calls and other doctors only recommended giving him a better quality of life in his last days.

The family is alone, without support to keep their only child, their greatest treasure alive. Without help, Dylan will not receive treatment and in a not too distant period he will close his eyes forever.
