Hope for Baby Alexa: For her Open Heart Surgery

I'm Corazon Belarmino, from philippine, mother of my twins daughter.

I am here seeking for your kind heart and your support for my older daughter's heart surgery next month

Baby Alexa and her twin sister born premature

At 2016, i gave a birth to my lovely twins daughter through Caesarean operation,

My daughter was born premature. Baby Alexa weight was 1000 grams only at 32 weeks old. She is smaller compare to her younger twin sister.

Both of them stayed at NICU after they was born to get their condition stable, Alexa stayed for 3 months at NICU, longer than her younger sister.

I have a very tough situation at that time knowing that both of them was not in good condition especially my baby Alexa.

Alexa diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease (VSD and Severe Pulmonary Stenosis)

During Her stay in NICU, doctor also suggest us to do ECO and ECG to found out the main reason of baby alexa sickness

After the result came out, doctor found out that she have Congenital Heart Disease (VSD and Severe Pulmonary Stenosis) and need to be threat before she became older.

Baby alexa also undergo eye laser at her young age.

Until now, she always got hospitalize almost every month due to pneumonia and having difficulties in breathing.

Alexa need to undergo open heart surgery before she turn 3 years old

At first, her cardiopedia doctor advised us to have an open heart surgery when she was at age of 1 year, We were worried because she was so young to do surgery, at very angelic age.

But we try to seek for 2nd and 3rd opinions, but we got same suggestions.

This coming December 15th, Alexa will be turning 3 years old and her doctor advised us to go on the surgery before she reach the age of 3 and we agreed to have it by next month, November 2019.

We knocking your good heart, to help us, for baby alexa sake, so she able to do normal activity as another child at her age, and the sake for her future.

Open heart surgery cost about 400.000 Philippine peso ($7,800)

I am just a plain housewife and taking care of my twin. My husband is the only one providing our needs especially baby Alexa's medical needs everytime she's admitted in the hospital. We really needed your help for our daughter bright future.

Now, we only focusing on baby Alexa surgery fee, i also sell a "T-shirt for a cause" to collect some donation for baby alexa surgery fee

We planned to scheduled baby alexa open heart surgery before December, before she turning 3 years old as doctor recommended.

[UPDATE]

Finally baby alexa faith was successfully undergo open heart surgery last january 27th, 2020.

she was in the Operating Room for almost 4 hours. She got recovered for 2 days in an SICU(SURGECAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT )and transfer to her room an the 4th day while she observing any complications.

She was suppossed to discharge on the hospital on her 6th days but suddenly got a trouble.. She vomit alot and all food or medicine take she split it out for almost 3 days to find out she got an infection.

She split up blood too. By now she was under a medication trought NGT a tube use to feed her direct to her stomach.

we are asking everyone who have a good heart by supporting again this project for her antibiotics and supplies. we almost spend alot already during her operation.
