I want to help the people affected by major floods in my country!

Nice to meet you! My name is Roxanne and I'm from Trinidad and Tobago!

My country is suffering the consequences of a flood, and I would like to help the people affected by providing daily necessities!

Worst flooding in 50 years

Last month of October a heavy rain caused a massive flood.

The rain started on 15th and became heavier two days later. At that point, 80% of the country was covered by the water. More than 6,000 people were affected by the flood.

It has been the worst flood in 50 years, so many people have been affected.

The government provided some evacuation centers and also distribute necessary items such as bottled water, food or sanitary goods, but it is not enough because there are many victims.

Helping the victims

Currently, I'm a working as a merchandiser, but my salary is not high.

As I'm not able to donate money to the victims because I don't have any savings I decided to go to help the victims.

I went to the affected area with a few people to help cleaning up.

I was shocked when I saw the damaged area with my own eyes

It's different when you see how the area has been affected with your own eyes.

I'm trying to help a lot of people as much as I can because I've seen first hand what these people are going through at this very moment. Not having a place to live and nothing at all to make it day by day.

Then, I've decided to open a project in Airtripp Funding. If there is any way I could try to help I would. So that's where you all come in.

I would like to raise $900 to purchase food items, clothes, personal stuff, etc. I would really appreciate your collaboration!

Schedule

If I receive enough support, I will use the funds to get daily necessities and hand them over.

If possible, I would like to do it by February of next year.
