HELPING THE UNFORTUNATE FELLOW AFRICAN CHILD ACCESS COLLEGE

My name is Jonas Khoza. I am a 20year old boy and I am the project manager of "Creating Your Future" for Field Of Dreams.

 I live in South Africa at Bultfontein Farms(Schaumburg) . 

I want to help peers in my community get to colleges or universities, those of whom did not pass matric well hence are unable or struggling to receive funding to pay for college FEES as this will enable them to improve their skills that will help to find jobs or start business. The reason why they were unable to pass matric well is because academically they are not competent enough yet they devote their time and efforts on studying but still their marks are unbalanced because of their IQ level being incompetent. Some end up being taken out of school and advised to go to TVET colleges because they fail a single subject for many times though they practice.

It is with so much hurt to me that my peers devotes and fight so much but still not find a breakthrough of the requisite results because they are compelled by our  education system to do subjects that are not involved in their gifted talents.This will also help eradicate the level of socio-economic issues in my community such as poverty, crime, gender - based violence, etc.. This is important to me because it will help empower the youth in Schaumburg. Our goal is to empower and improve the lives of the Youth in the community of Schaumburg.

I hope and pray that I can be able to generate a fund of $1500 or more as this will be able to accommodate the high number of unskilled secondary school learners as we currently have 5learners in need of help. Because of different preferences, costs of fees will differ. Some costs R300 per semester while others cost R700 per semester . 

I and my team would like to receive the funds by the end of June 2021 as this will allow us time to consult with colleges in regard to admissions and also the preparations of candidates. 

Because I have partnered with Field Of Dreams(NPO), the manager of the organisation and I as the project manager will together manage and allocate funds accordingly. To evaluate the impact of the project , those who receive the help would be required to constantly report their progress at school. The manager of Field Of Dreams is committed to be visiting the learners at their respective schools more often to check on the situation. I as the project manager will take full responsibility of evaluating improvement in the community of Schaumburg.
