Help Erika, a young blind girl, to get a computer.

Erika Villadiego is a 24-year-old blind young woman who lives in Caucasia, Antioquia, a rural municipality plagued by violence in Colombia.

Erika has always been excluded from the education system because of her condition. In basic education she did not have the opportunity to handle the software that would facilitate her educational process, nor did she have access to a computer to familiarize herself with these tools.

Today she has the possibility of studying technology in a virtual way with a scholarship that was granted to her, but she does not have the right computer. This puts her at risk of repeating the cycle of exclusion she has experienced since childhood.

As she is blind, she needs to download a software called JAWS, which is heavy, so she requires a computer with particular characteristics that can withstand the program.

By helping with this cause you are opening an opportunity for Erika to continue with her studies of virtual higher education and therefore, reduce the risks involved in being a blind and economically dependent woman.

The money requested will be used to purchase the computer equipment to be delivered to Erika so that she can download and manage the JAWS software. This money is required no later than June 29, 2021, due to Erika being in her first academic semester. Help Erika achieve her dreams and prevent her from being excluded from the educational process in her country.
