Hello! My name is Gilberto Rivera, Salvadoran, Sociology graduate from the University of El Salvador, currently without a stable job.

I have always lived where my grandparents, peasants and have always lived from agriculture, which leaves very few possibilities to progress. We have never had electricity, with much effort I studied until high school by candlelight, then I migrated to the city, and with many difficulties, I graduated from the public university. With difficulties, I still do not get stable work to materially reward my grandparents, who are getting older and more vulnerable to disease.

My uncle has a functional disability and one of his greatest entertainment is watching action movies, although he can not hear or speak, where he has several of Rambo... Sometimes in his sign language, he tells me that in this house we will never have electricity, I do not lose hope. We have asked for support from the mayor's office, and we have not received any support. Today we come here to ask for your support without losing hope. We live in Caserío El Refugio, Municipality of San Francisco Menéndez, Ahuachapán, El Salvador. In a rural community, about a hundred meters from the central power lines. We estimate an expense of one thousand dollars, maybe a little less or a little more with all materials, labor, and other permits for installation.
