Fundraising for Baby Althea Zyre Open-Heart Surgery

Hi,

I am Cathy Manzano, I am from Canada. I am organizing this fund raising for my dear friends Agnes and Edgar Santiago from Philippines who are in deeply in need of financial support for their youngest daughter Althea Zyre who was diagnosed with a complex Acyanotic Congenital Heart disease. A complicated condition for a baby in which a complete atrioventricular septal defect is seen that can lead to severe pulmonary hypertension.

Althea just turned two months this month and she is considered to undergo immediate open-heart surgery this coming July or August 2021 if she meets the weight requirement for her age. For the meantime baby Althea is taking hypertension medicine to help ease her heavy breathing.

We have to prepare PHP 1.2 million or $ 32,000.00 USD in 3 to 4 months for the surgery

Althea Zyre was born with Down Syndrome last February 18, 2021 with excessive fluid in her lungs too. Due to her heart defects, her heart is not functioning well and as she grows up it will become more complex and delicate. As a parent and a mother, I know how hard it is to see your precious child having so much pain and discomfort. That is why as a simple gesture of helping my friends am humbling myself and knocking in your kind heart to please help us to raise the amount needed for her upcoming surgery.

The doctors from the Philippine General Hospital is asking the family to prepare at least PHP 1.2 million or $ 32,000.00 dollars in 3 to 4 months to be able to proceed the open-heart surgery.

Due to current situation caused by pandemic the family is financially challenge and cannot afford to provide the amount needed for the operation. The parents are living by faith that one day baby Althea Zyre’s heart will be miraculously healed, and all her other organs will function normally.

I know God has a better and marvelous plan for her and their family. Please include baby Althea Zyre in your prayers as well.
