Donates to Help a single father who has cancer

The reason why I’m here raising funds is to support a single father named John (alias) to combat with stage 4 oral cancer.

About John

John (alias) is a single father raising three children. His three daughters are his strongest moral support, they are 5, 7, and 9 years old.

I started to look into his case.

At the end of 2019, he was diagnosed with stage 4 oral cancer.

Cancerous cells have spread to his limbic system

After his surgery in December 2019, everyone was nervous outside the operation room. He was hospitalised for a week, just when they thought he was starting to heal, this news to combat yet another cancer was heavy on their hearts. Additional treatments including chemotherapy will start as early as the end of January 2020.

The long-term rehabilitation and mental therapy means he will have to fight this disease for at least 5 years. It will be a huge challenge for John and his family. I believe if we could all pitch in a little, it will go a long way for them.

As the Lunar New Year approaches, this continuation of the Lifeline Project from 2019 with a painted line on paper with acrylic paint will spread the love with a new edition to raise funds for John. Each piece of paper has a simple line, which symbolises life. Life, in fact, is a fragile line. Let us sow the seeds of love and spread the “lifeline”!

If everyone donates 50USD or more for this project, this little gift of love will be yours as thanks. The materials are UMAE watercolour paper (300g, 70% cotton, size around 13.7 x 19.7 cm) and it comes with a clear plexiglass stand. For donations larger than 50USD, you will have a chance to choose other works of art painted by me according to your amount of donation.

Information for Needed Funds

John needs at least 2,000 to 3,000 USD for his treatments.

John is still worried about all kinds of bills as he had to stop working due to his illness, he doesn’t have additional health insurance except the government health care, the medical bills is a heavy burden on him.

All the donations will go directly to John

Hope he can be strong and fight the cancer for a long time. His relatives are sad after he went through the surgery, it is not just a physical, but also a mental torment.

As John is the main income source in the single parent household, he had to stop working, along with the hefty bills, he is under a lot of stress. I hereby plead to you all for any donation, nothing is too less or too much, 3USD is also an act of solidarity and firm support.
