I want to help South Africa's children!

Nice to meet you! My name is Jithin and I live in Thodupuzha, India.

I want to travel to Cape Town, South Africa, to cooperate with a children care center as a volunteer.

I need your collaboration to make this dream come true!

The difficult situation of children in South Africa

I'm studying Engineering at University.

Some weeks ago I read an article about the situation of children in South Africa. Many children can't go to school or to the hospital when they need it.

Then, I found an organization named "Projects Abroad" that runs volunteering programs to help those children.

It seems that currently they need many volunteers in Cape Town so I decided that I would really love to collaborate with them.

The volunteers of the care center are decreasing

In order to be able to go to South Africa I'm trying to save money by working in different jobs.

The organization told me that from September many of the volunteers are returning to their countries. Those children need someone who support them and I would love to do it, from the bottom of my heart.

I would like to teach them English and everything about computers. I've had already the experience of teaching children and I love to spend time with children!

I really need your help!

Details on needed funds

Basically I need money to pay the flight ticket and the expenses of the care center that includes lodging, food, etc., so the total would be $2000.

Schedule

As the organization needs more volunteers from September, I would like to go there before this year ends.

It's the first time I travel abroad, so I feel nervous, but it's for a good cause. I want to give some presents to the children and I'm also considering to have more volunteering experiences in the future.

If I can't reach the target I will also ask my friends if anyone can help me.
