Help my mother beat breast cancer

Hello everyone,

I am Princess Joyce Reyes and I created this Airfunding project in behalf of my mother, Jocelyn Cruz. She is 47 years old, turning 48 on August 27th.

We live in the Philippines.

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2021 and she has cancerous tumors in her left breast. In 2020, she was under a lot of stress and had felt lumps in her breast but she only had the courage to tell me 3 months ago and the lump on her skin has already gotten bigger.

She was working as a domestic helper in Malaysia when she learned that she had cancer. She immediately asked her employers to arrange her flight back home and have the necessary treatments in the Philippines so we can take care of her.

The stage of her breast cancer has not been confirmed yet until she gets surgery. The doctors cannot perform the surgery because the lump is too big and it would be too risky so she needs to undergo 8 sessions of chemotherapy first to make the breast lump get smaller.

We cannot afford to pay for all the medical bills so we ask for your support and generosity to cover the expenses of the subsequent cancer treatment and surgery, the approximate cost of chemotherapy per session ranges between $900 and $1,000 plus the lab tests thereafter. And as part of the safety protocols, she also needs to be tested for COVID-19 every session which would cost around $80 per swab test. She just started her first chemotherapy session and we would need the funds as we go along.

My mother believes that she still has purpose in life. She's a fighter so let's help her beat cancer!
