I want to make a new year party for poverty-stricken kids!

Hello there everyone! I am Julia Antonia Vidal Gardel from Juazeiro, Brazil!

I plan to throw a party for kids that are struck with poverty!

There is a village without electricity and running water in the state of Pernambuco

My friend is supporting a poor village in the mouintain recesses of Pernambuco state.

1 month ago, I was invited by my friend to visit said village. The village is in such a state of poverty, the houses are built with clay, there are no electricity and no running water. There are also a lot kids working.

I plan to put a smile on the kids of the village by throwing a new year party for them!

I want to help people as it is part of my faith

I volunteer myself in helping people as I am a Christian.

Before I encountered this village, I did not there was such place in the country. This is because it seems that the government have been hiding these information from us. Since then, I have been going to the village regulary to give food and water for the children there.

There is currently around 40 children in the village and there are many of them who are working.

If this party can be done, it will create a lovely memory for the children. I plan to provide delicious food and drinks, and also bring some toys for them!

Earning for 3 alone

I work as a public servant and I earn around $256 a month.

However, I am currently also taking care of my 2 children alone, so I do not have that much savings. My eldest child is also studying in a university.

Therefore, I hope that everyone can help me to make the best party for the children of the village!

Details on needed funds

To buy food, beverages and also presents, I need around $700. However, I only need support for $600, I will try to pay $100 out of the total amount!

Schedule

Once I have collected the total amount, I plan to make the party on the end of January or the start of February.

There will be good food, some games and also presents planned for the children.

If I could not collected the total amount, I will try my hardest to save money for the party. It may take time but I do not wish to give up on the children. Therefore, I sincerely hope for help from everyone!
