Open A Small Tuition Centre for Spoken English

Hello everyone,

My name is Clifford Hannah, an English tutor from India.

I am a tutor at "naz India trust"

I have been teaching for the past 25 years.

I taught in a NGO called naz India trust. It's a NGO for HIV positive kids. I taught there for almost 11 years. As the kids turned 18, they had to leave the NGO -- so, I also left..

After i left, I started giving spoken English tuitions. It is already about 18 years. The problem arised when my mom expired in April 2019. Things changed drastically and I had financial problems.

I have a dream to open a tuition centre for poor kids.

During my work at the NGO, I taught a lot of kids; but in India, there are still many children who are unfortunate and unable to attend school.

I want to open a tuition centre and teach spoken English to poor kids with minimum fees. This would keep my life going and besides, I would be able to teach them this major world language. It's my profession and I am experienced.

The only problem is I don't have money.. so I went for crowdfunding. Hopefully things might improve..

What are the steps I will take?

First 2 months, I have to spend from my pocket to prepare the batch of students. This is the main reason I need funding.

First step: I will rent a nice room, then I will purchase necessary items like blackboard, chairs, etc. Then, I will do ads and distribute some pamphlets.

After I have enough students, I will start to teach. I will do this alone; when I have enough profit, I might hire more staff.

Details on needed funds

The most important part is i need to rent a space first. It is the most expensive one. The total i need will cost about $1400.

If my project will not be fully funded, at least I will have something to start with rather than having nothing..
