For Mama Leony's Hospital Expenses

Hi everyone.

I'm Mariz from Cavite, Mama Leony's niece, I created this project to help raise funds for her hospitalization and lessen their family's burden in terms of financial concerns.

Please read their story from her 2nd daughter's (Christine Alonzo) exact words:

"Family, friends, relatives, and to whom this humble and pleading post may reach: I have never thought in my entire existence that I'd be on the position of those people who are posting this kind of messages online but the pandemic had us and it hit us rock bottom on the most unexpected time. It was so painful for me to wake up and see my mom and family lying in the hospital bed. This is not what I dreamed of. I just miss the feeling of coming home with the lights of the whole house on and I have a healthy family who will greet me with the question of where I came from. At first it was deafening, but the silence and sadness were even more deafening. I just came home one day smiling at the kitchen. Hopefully I have a mom who will ask me and my friends if I have eaten and remind me of things that even though I am old and I know I know that he still does it over and over again. First and foremost, I am thankful to everyone who helps, cares, watches over, cares, and most of all prays for the condition of mama, Ate and youngest. I know how genuine your hearts are and I know you are helping us get through this unconditionally but I promise I would take time to thank you all as soon as we all get over this situation. It would be too much to ask but it's really the most I could do apart from staying by my mom's side regardless of the situation and the danger I am putting my self into. We are known to be someone who is always welcoming and everyone who had been to our humble home have experienced first hand the warmth my family had to share with you all. But now that we are in this position, I don't want to use the word to, but I will beg for mercy and a little financial help in any and all way.

Mama - Been in the hospital for more than a month, currently intubated due to difficulty of breathing due to pneumonia detected recently. Waiting to be transferred to ICU. Current bill is 2.3M excluding Phil health and HMO coverage.

Ate - Our Ate didn't make it. Final bill was 786,340.00 + 90,200.00 for medicine bill. My sister is already at our loving home.

Bunso and Papa - Currently at home, recovered and already finished the mandatory quarantine.

Napakasakit para sa aking gumising at makita ang mama at pamilya kong nakahiga sa kama ng hospital. Hindi ito yung pinangarap ko sa kanila kahit kelan. I just miss the feeling na umuwi na bukas yung ilaw ng buong bahay at may malusog akong pamilyang sasalubong sa akin ng tanong kung san na naman ba ako nanggaling. Nung una nakakabingi, pero mas nakakabingi pala yung katahimikan at kalungkutan. Umuwi na lang ako isang araw nakangiti sa kusina. Umaasang may mama akong tatanungin ako at yung mga kaibigan ko kung kumain na ba ako at papaalalahanan akong sa mga bagay na kahit matanda na ako at alam kong alam ko na ay paulit ulit pa rin nyang ginagawa.
